One of the top leading causes of death in the world is suicide, health authorities say. It has even reached the top 20 causes of death for all ages among countries. According to the World Health Organization (WHO), about one million people kill themselves each year. The manager of the Wales national team, Gary Speed is no stranger to it; he ended his life at age of 42. He was known as a great midfielder. He was someone who had it good and was not thought to be depressed, he may not even have filed a Zoloft lawsuit.
Many people sighed in disbelief when they heard the news that Speed has killed himself. Nobody has expected him to take his own life. He left a widow and two teenage sons to face questions about his death. Fans are still at a loss. Speed has lived a truly remarkable life. Hayden Evans, a talent agent and close friend of the family, said that Speed has never had any problems with depression. Louise, the wife of Speed, was first to find him hanging in the garage. She had also said nothing on why he committed suicide. It was on the BBC1 Football Focus show where the footballer was last seen. Dan Walker, a presenter on BBC1, has said that he was in his “bubbly” mood when he was at the studio.
Gary Speed’s death has brought about tributes coming from fans all over the sporting world. Outside the house of Speed and the places where he used to play, tributes from mourning fans filled up space and piled up. The tributes that they brought were jerseys, scarves, flowers and photographs that they had of the late footballer. His death was asked to be spared from sensational press coverage.
